Direct from France Brice brings a fresh and innovative perspective of stage, creation, movement and dynamism. Created in the summer 2008 for the opening of the Manhattan Movement Arts Center theater (MMAC), Company Brice Mousset is now the resident company at MMAC. Since then, Brice has collaborated with more than 25 dancers: from young dancers just getting their first company experience to high caliber professional dancers from Complexions Contemporary Ballet, So You Think You Can Dance finalists, New York City Ballet, Alvin Aley and more. The company has performed for numerous theaters and dance festivals (Alvin Ailey Citi Group, Haiti relief, Performing Art Center Theater, Hatch, Manhattan Movemenet Art Center, STEPS Lab series...) as well as for special events to bring it art in motion. Brice takes the dancers to work with unlimited imagination and to push the physical boundaries of the body. Approaching the work with risk, athleticism, abandon, breath, weight, focus and intention; Brice’s choreography emphasizes a high degree of physicality and input from the dancers encouraging them to execute the movement with specificity, focus and passion. Performance Schedule: July, the company will be in Spain, Italy and France for workshops and shows (more info soon) June 12th, Manhattan Youth Ballet benefit gala. the company will perform a new version of "Growth", along with Principals from the American Ballet Theater. April 11th, Breast Cancer fundraiser at DanceWork in Connecticut. The company will perform a new extract of "Growth" Feb 22nd, Haiti Fundraiser at MMAC . The company will perform for the second time an extract of "Growth", along with pieces from soloist of the New York City Ballet, Marta Graham Company and more. Feb 21st, Haiti Fundraiser at the Labs at Steps on Broadway. The company will perform for the first time an extract of "Growth" Follow the creation of "Growth", a new work in progress (more info coming soon)
